150 YEARS IN BUSINESS FOR BENTLEY

2010 marks 150 years in business for Exclusively exhibitor Charles Bentley and Son Ltd, which is now the UK’s leading manufacturer and importer of brushware and household products.

To celebrate its 150 year anniversary the company is holding a series of events throughout the
year.

Charles Bentley, managing director, said, "During our 150th year we wanted to celebrate with a variety of events that both help our local community whilst putting our products to good use. Whilst at the same time recognise the value of our customers and suppliers’.

The events include Bentley Brushware giving away 1860 garden brooms (marking the year the company started) to local residents who enrol on their local council's garden waste collection scheme.

The company is also sponsoring an A-level Student Design Competition to come up with a new pattern for one of its 2010 range of brushes. The winning design will be offered as a promotion to several major retail stores.

Also on the design front, as a thank you to its retailers, suppliers and the local community Bentley Brushware has designed some unique mugs to be given away at events, trade shows and other presentations.

And finally - for the time being - The Bentley Brushware Big Tidy Up will take place in the summer involving key groups within the company's local community. The company's efforts on litter picking will be of a major campaign to help Keep Britain Tidy, where local communities work together to create a cleaner greener environment.

And this is just a taster for the year ahead!
